Thank you for coming to the American Epilepsy Society Symposium and our session two on Mortality. Before we begin, just some house cleaning, if you can kindly put your pagers or your cellphones into the silent mode, would appreciated. This symposium is sponsored by the American Epilepsy Society in North part in response to the needs assessment, your input. This program will be repurposed on the AES website.
At this time, I would also like to thank the faculty members, the speakers for taking time out of your busy schedule in sharing their expert knowledge in an area they have known and study for a long time. Please be aware that the medical education evaluator program on the website is available for you to track your CME credits and enter your pre and post question, answers and other things.
It is the policy of the American Epilepsy Society that all faculty participating in this CME activity has disclosed to the program or the audience any real or apparent conflicts of interest related to the content and the other materials in the presentation including the discussion of unlabelled usage or unapproved usage of drugs and medical devices. There will be question cards available for you to write down your questions. There will be a question and answer session through the use of the cards at the end of all the four talks.
Please give us your feedback. It's very important we know what you need and what you like or don't like about this program.
