Composed of a Chair-person appointed by the President and a group with interest in AES and other epilepsy research funding. Charges:
- Establish a conduit for disseminating information to our sister lay organizations (e.g., CURE, EFA, Epilepsy Project, etc.) as well as to policy makers involved with Medicare/Medicaid funding, NIH funding, etc.
- Assist organizations in their advocacy efforts by identifying volunteers (clinicians, scientists) for their advocacy efforts.
- Develop long-term strategies in using the resources and expertise of AES in advocating for patient services and epilepsy research.

Goals/Strategies
- Define the role that AES will play
- Define operational principles and infrastructure
- Develop fact based compelling argument for increasing research funding (A succinct messae summarzing the achievements and goals of epilepsy research - to be updated annually) in partnership with the Funding Success Task Force and the Lennox Trust Fund.
- Devleop a position and course of action for Continuity of Supply Task Force efforts (in partnership with that Task Force)
- Develop and create the elements of Operation Giveback (in partnership with that Task Force)
