The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago is seeking a Pediatric Neurologist to lead the Section of Pediatric Neurology.

Special interests of the Section include the epilepsy center encompassing clinical, computational and cellular research programs, as well as the brain tumor program in association with Pediatric hematology/oncology, high resolution brain imaging and molecular neurogenetics. The Section also has long-standing clinical and research interactions with Adult Neurology, Neurosurgery, Genetics, Child Psychiatry, and the interdisciplinary Committee on Neurobiology.

The Department of Pediatrics is committed to a balance between research and clinical activities. This is reflected in the growth of the Department of Pediatrics, which includes the state-of-the-art Comer Children's Hospital, a new Ambulatory facility and extensive research space in the just-opened Knapp Center for Biomedical Discovery.

The successful candidate will hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the state of Illinois, hold an MD or MD/PhD, and be at or eligible for the rank of Associate or Full Professor. Successful candidates will have an outstanding record of research achievement and innovation and a firm commitment to clinical excellence.
