Pediatric Epileptologist / Neurologist – Washington University in St. Louis

The Department of Neurology at the Washington University School of Medicine seeks a pediatric epileptologist / neurologist for their Pediatric Epilepsy Center in the Division of Pediatric Neurology. The center has a comprehensive epilepsy program that includes an active epilepsy surgery, ketogenic diet, and research program. The center includes eight pediatric epileptologists, two pediatric epilepsy neurosurgeons, two neuropsychologists, a clinical pharmacist, two pediatric epilepsy nurse practitioners, two nurses, and a dietician. The candidate must be board certified or board eligible in Neurology with Special Qualification in Child Neurology Pediatric Neurology. Completion of a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy and expertise in the pre-surgical evaluation including long-term video-EEG monitoring with scalp and intracranial electrodes is preferable. This is a full-time clinical position that includes several outpatient epilepsy clinics per week, attending on the inpatient pediatric neurology service, and teaching. The position could include attending in the EEG monitoring unit depending on qualifications. There are opportunities for research and for clinical trials. All clinical work is performed at St. Louis Children’s Hospital, which includes a dedicated eight bed long-term monitoring unit. Appointment is at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level, commensurate with education and experience.
