Business Auction a Unique Opportunity for Epilepsy Clinics

Proceeds Will Support AES Epilepsy Research and Training Grants

West Hartford, July 21 – The American Epilepsy Society (AES) has announced that three EEG product makers are participating in a unique auction of EEG products to their existing and potential customers. The products have normal market values that range from $8,000 to $38,250. All proceeds from the online auction, conducted through participating company websites, will benefit the AES Lennox and Lombroso / Susan Spencer Funds for Epilepsy Training and Research.

The bidding deadlines differ by manufacturer, the first being September 15. The participating companies and their auction products are:

Grass Technologies, an Astro-Med , Inc. subsidiary, is auctioning the recently introduced unit TREA Ambulatory EEG Recorder valued at $15,000. The minimum bid is $5,000. Nihon Kohden, who started the auction program with AES last year, is participating again with the auction of an EEG-1200A Diagnostic and Monitoring Solution package worth $38,250. Optima Neuroscience, Inc. is offering for auction one license of its new EEG review software IdentEvent. This software license is valued at $8,000. The minimum bid is $2,000.
