Epilepsy Currents - The official journal of the American Epilepsy Society

Founded by AES Leadership, Epilepsy Currents provides brief commentary and literature reviews. The journal is available only to AES members online and the printed volumes are sent to all AES members bi-monthly. Epilepsy Currents is a literature surveillance publication, including brief expert commentary on abstracts in selected basic science and clinical topics, as well as succinct literature reviews on topics selected by the editorial board. Commentaries and reviews are written by contributing editors --- all of whom are AES members --- in addition to invited authors.

AES Abstracts ArchiveA searchable database of abstracts from AES Annual Meetings

Since 2000, AES has maintained an archive containing the abstracts of all contributed presentations at the annual meetings. This archive allows retrieval of abstracts from a searchable online database. The archive is a valuable resource for epilepsy researchers. It is the most extensive and comprehensive epilepsy-specific information resource available anywhere, and complements PubMed/MEDLINE, which only indexes published articles and may therefore not be current. (The data in the abstract archive is also published in a supplement to Epilepsia.)

Epilepsia - The official journal of the International League Against Epilepsy

Epilepsia is provided to most AES members with membership dues; for some member types, the subscription is optional. The journal contains original articles on all clinical and experimental aspects of epilepsy. After more than thirty years, it continues to be the leading international journal on the epilepsies.

Other Professional Journals - AES offers subscriptions to these journals as a benefit of AES membership; yearly subscriptions are July - June.

Epilepsy Research provides for rapid publication of high quality articles in both experimental and clinical epileptology. It is intended to provide a forum for the many disciplines involved, such as neurology, neurosurgery, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neurochemistry, neuroanatomy, neuropathology, neuroendocrinology, neurotoxicology, neurogenetics, neuroimaging, neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, molecular neurobiology, clinical chemistry and child neurology. As such the journal will publish original papers from any of these areas or studies of a multidisciplinary nature. Clinical and experimental research papers adopting fresh conceptual approaches to the study of epilepsy and its treatment are encouraged. The overriding criteria for publication are novelty, significant clinical or experimental relevance, and interest to a multidisciplinary audience in the broad arena of epilepsy.

Seizure - European Journal of Epilepsy is an international journal providing a forum for the publication of papers on all topics related to epilepsy and seizure disorders. These topics include the basic sciences related to the condition itself, the differential diagnosis, natural history and epidemiology of seizures, and the investigation and practical management of epilepsy (including drug treatment, neurosurgery and non-medical and behavioral treatments). Seizure reflects the social and psychological burden and impact of epilepsy on the person who has it, his family and society, and the methods and ideas that may help to alleviate such handicaps and stigma as the condition may cause. The aim of the journal is to share and disseminate knowledge between all disciplines that work in the field of epilepsy.
