UNEXPECTED OPENING in Clinical Neurophysiology & Epilepsy Fellowship – Children’s Hospital of Michigan

We have an opening for a neurophysiology fellow starting July, 2012 (for 1 or 2 years). This ACGME-accredited fellowship program provides outstanding experience as listed below.
(i) Neonatal, pediatric and adult EEG.
(ii) Long term video-EEG monitoring.
(iii) Functional brain mapping using evoked potentials and event-related spectral changes.
(iv) Functional brain mapping using electrical and magnetic stimulation.
(v) Multimodality neuroimaging modalities including PET, fMRI, and DTI.
(vi) Epilepsy surgery following intracranial EEG monitoring.
(vii) EMG.
There are plenty of opportunities to write papers in neurophysiology, neuroimaging, genetics and neuropsychology. This is the only pediatric institute in the world with its own PET Center. The fellow can gain valuable experience for private practice or academic career. Applicants must have completed pediatric neurology or adult neurology training by the summer of 2012.
