The University of Iowa Department of Neurology, is recruiting for several full-time tenure track faculty positions for physicians active in basic or translational research in any field of neuroscience related to neurological disease. The successful candidates will hold the MD or MD/PhD degree and be Board Eligible/Board Certified Neurologists. Individuals will be considered at any stage of their career with rank dependent on qualifications and experience, but a proven track record of excellence in independent investigative work is essential. Candidates must be able to demonstrate knowledge of effective strategies for working with diverse faculty, staff, and students and be able to demonstrate job-related experience with and/or commitment to diversity in the work/academic environment.
The Department of Neurology was ranked 22nd in the recent US News World & Report and consists of 30 faculty physicians, all with full-time appointments within the teaching institution.
