Academic Adult Epileptologist – University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

This position is for our 3rd fellowship-trained epileptologist in a well established surgical epilepsy program. This is a tenure track position for a board-eligible or -certified neurologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, depending on qualifications. We have a 4 hardwired-bed EMU and capability of running 8 or more video EEG studies simultaneously, with excellent Neurosurgery, Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine, Neuropsychology and other services and active basic and clinical research programs. We are also looking to expand our services to include intraoperative monitoring and would be particularly interested in candidates with training and expertise in that area. There are ample research opportunities and seed funding for candidates with research experience, and those with active or new research programs are strongly encouraged to apply.
UAMS is the state’s only academic health center and ranks in the top 20% of all US colleges and universities in federal research funding. Clinical facilities include a 540,000 square foot replacement hospital completed in 2009.
