Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) thrive because of the dedication and vision of our volunteer Chairs and Vice Chairs. These leaders shape meaningful conversations by curating dynamic sessions at the AES Annual Meeting, fostering continuous knowledge exchange, and strengthening connections across the SIG community. Their commitment ensures that every SIG remains a vibrant hub for learning, collaboration, and innovation.
How Leadership Works
Rotating Roles for Fresh Perspectives
Leadership rotates annually to keep ideas fresh and inclusive. Each Vice Chair steps into the Chair role the following year, ensuring continuity and growth. New Chairs then select a Vice Chair, bringing in fresh insight and fostering ongoing innovation.
Member-Led Programming
The current Chair leads the charge in shaping the SIG’s annual meeting session—selecting timely topics, inviting expert speakers, and creating space for meaningful dialogue.
