Rationale: ADHD, cognitive decline and academic performance is one of the principal mental health problems worldwide in epilepsy childhoods. This is the first latinamerican effort to joint professionals and compare the differences in impact in childhood epilepsy between latinamerican countries Methods: The Latinamerican group for the study of ADHD and cognitive impacts in childhoods epilepsies, (LILAPETDAH), developed a network group with neurologist and psychiatrist of almost all countries in Latinamerica that applies a questionarie to all children with epilepsy, searching for the diagnosis of ADHD and the impact over cognitive, conduct and academic performance. Results: More than 10 latinamerican contries participate in the survey. Important differences between countries was noted, specially in the level and subtypes of ADHD, academic performance (less in centroamerican countries) and better response in countries with better academic level. Conclusions: There was a very good and enthusiastic participation of all delegates, its very important to noticed that the impact over adhd diagnosis, academic performance and cognitive impact of the childhood epilepsies in latinamerican no only depend over the type of epilepsy or the pharmacological treatment, but to its very important the social-cultural influence for the differente treatment recommendations.
